David Wright Placed On DL with Back Injury

David Wright has been placed on the 15-day DL after an MRI showed the possibility of a stress fracture in his back. It is assumed that the injury originally occurred when Wright made a diving tag on Carlos Lee last month.

No word yet on who will take Wright’s spot on the roster, but Willie Harris will fill in at 3B for the time being.

In other injury news, Chris Young had surgery on the torn capsule in his shoulder and Jenrry Mejia also underwent surgery, but on the torn UCL in his elbow.
