Today’s Positive Thought: Bullpen
I’ve been inspired by visitors in the comments section to try to come up with positive thoughts. Some say I’m occasionally negative (at times ornery, believe it or not!) in my blogging about the Mets.
So here is today’s positive thought for the Mets: it won’t take much for the bullpen to improve upon its Opening Day performance. In fact, there is a VERY good chance that Mets relievers will pitch well tonight, compared to Game 1.
What’s YOUR positive thought for the Mets today? Share it below.
Praise the power of positive thinking!
I too share your tendency to think negatively about the Mets. (Thanks to the collapses of ’07 & ’08 followed by 5 straight losing seasons)
So here are some positive thoughts:
– The Mets have more first basemen than The Yankees.
– You can’t lose ’em all.
– Andrew Brown is on pace to hit 162 HR, 486 RBI.
– and the old stand-by: They have a lot of live young arms in the minors.
Here’s what I can muster:
• Ike’s swing looks much better than last year.
• Gee showed that his good 2013 2nd half probably wasn’t a fluke.
• At 31, Wright still looks like himself.
• Valverde has something left.
My positive thought for the day –
the minor legue season will begin shortly. That will give me another 4 to 6 teams to rot for daily. The law of averages states that there is a strong probability that something good will happen for the team I root for in at least one of those games.
I can’t see the games thru my tears clouding my eyes…
we’ll probably be in a new war with north Korea or Iran. .There will be distractions. .
Before you know it, it’ll be October
the Yankees suck too…
I live in Sydney…there’s always cricket
