Mets Game 100: Loss to Marlins

Marlins 8 Mets 5

This is not the kind of “fifty-fifty” that suggests hope or puts a windfall of money in someone’s pocket.

The Mets reach the century mark of the season with a perfectly even 50-50 record. Once again, stuck at the Flushing .500.

Tonight’s Mets Lineup vs. Marlins

Here is the lineup the Mets will send to the plate against Florida Marlins pitcher Clay Hensley:

Jose Reyes – SS
Justin Turner – 2B
Carlos Beltran – RF
David Wright – 3B
Dan Murphy – 1B
Angel Pagan – CF
Jason Bay – LF
Josh Thole – C
Chris Capuano – P

Bay is back in the lineup after resting a tight hamstring. If this were 2009 and we saw Bay hitting 7th we’d think “wow, this is a crazy deep lineup”. Then again, many people may still believe that the Mets have a fairly deep lineup, for a NL team.
