The Mets succeed in their starring role as spoilers, taking this weekend series from the Braves and simultaneously jumping into a tie with the Nationals for third place in the NL East.

In the “Where They Were Now” department, I’d like to point out that Carlos Beltran — the switch-hitting outfielder who was traded away to San Francisco nearly two months ago — is still leading the Mets in doubles, walks, homeruns, RBI, on-base percentage, slugging, and OPS.
