Hi folks: here's my take.

Actually in essence Joe has it well voiced, except I thinks its vargas that pitches in the 5th spot. Essentially Figgy did what Figgy was asked to and fill the 6th starter role temporarily. Pedro (and El Duque) are shelved and he has been a (shaky) bridge.

BUT I still think Figgy is insurance if Sosa is waived. That spot is essentially the mop up (or long reliever) role. And essentially Figgy could be sent down as Joe says, then come up later (when ) Sosa is waived. So the pending roster move could see Figgy out or Sosa DFA. If SOSA is the DFA then Figgy goes into the SOSA role now.

In between we will probably see if Vargas can fill that elusive 5th slot.

LMAO on the Sosa pitching!!! It's not just Willie though (although he does go to him more often than I care to see him), OMAR refuses to cut ties since the man is getting paid, handsomely I might add. Sosa, unfortunately for us, aint going anywhere.
