The most recent Omar Minaya acquisition caused me to do some research.

The following players were member of the 2003 and/or 2004 Expos (when Omar Minaya was GM):

Interesting observation, Joe.
I wonder if this is natural among GMs that change organizations.
It makes sense that if you like a player, that you would still like him when you change teams.

I think it’s somewhat common … Jim Duquette signed a number of former Mets when he went to the Orioles, and Jim Bowden plucked players from the Reds organization when he moved to the Nats. Houston GM Ed Wade has been making some ridiculous moves based on his time in Philly (i.e., Randy Wolf, Michael Bourn).

It’s just too bad Omar wasn’t able to get Vladdy, Vazquez, or Rauch.
