FYI I believe Stokes was a free agent. SK, you missed the "Tigers Want Heilman" post over here ?? Caused a bit of a ruckus.

Hey Coop ... no one ever called me a "legend" before, thanks! Great pix, too!

You HAD to get the Heilman as starter thing back on the table, did you? I was finally giving up on that obsession ...

I saw something yesterday, maybe on MLB Trade Rumors, to the effect that the Tigers said to Omar, "Replace Sosa with Heilman and then we can talk about Marcus Thames." So, that isn't getting done. Heilman is untouchable, at least until we see what we have in Wise, Stokes, and Register (one of the last two, if not both of them, who will go back to their team because of the Rule 5 draft rules).

I can't post the link beause you need a username and password to access the page, but the LA Times is reporting the Angels may make Juan Rivera available in trade talks. Good right hand bat who plays corner OF. Not sure how reliable his defense is, though, and he has no experience playing 1B. Just another name to add to the list, I suppose.

Hey Joeee.....where you goin with that pen in your hand...OK OK I'm done. Anyway just wanted to let you know that I have tagged you as "blog legend" on My Summer Family - check out the pics from Lucie. And I agree - nady / bay would be great fits...but then again, so would Johan...oh wait. Just kidding. We may have fleeced the Bucs in 2006 for Pea but now, think along the lines of middle relievers, which we kinda need. Maybe Heilman can start for them.
