'dude, it will be the first time I go to an MLB spring training since hanging out with Bo Jackson and Michael Jordan and catching some pitchers at a tryout in Sarasota about a hundred years ago ...

It's actually an early birthday gift from my wife, and I'll be there until March 2 ... only a few days but it should be interesting. If it's a hit with everyone maybe I will make it a tradition.

Fantasy camp sounds like a good idea ... will have to give that some thought -- thanks!

"I’ll be covering Mets spring training live in Port St. Lucie as of February 27, so if there’s anything or anyone you want me to check out specifically, let me know"

THAT'S FREAKIN' AWESOME JOE! I haven't been on this blog long enough to know if this has been tradition for you, but nonetheless, thank you for taking the time to cover ST for us.

You know what else would be fun? If one year you joined the Mets' fantasy camp and blogged about the experience. I saw an article/video from Jim Caple on ESPN do the same thing at the Twins camp and it was very interesting and comical.
