He went to Baltimore to be with his buddy Sam Perlozzo. Unless the Mets re-hire Perlozzo, I doubt he'd be interested in New York. If he wants to come back, and Pedro wants him back, he'll be back. Pedro still has significant influence (and should). I'm not much of a Maz fan myself, and was throwing him out there as one of the few players from the '86 team that are still involved in baseball in a coaching capacity.
