Mets Game 22: Win Over Rockies
Mets 6 Rockies 5
A series win gives Mets fans a Rocky Mountain High.

Only one bad inning for the Mets in this game. And this time, the Rox didn’t score 11 runs in that frame.
Sometimes, all you need is one domino to fall. The Mets knocked that one domino over in the fifth, with two outs, and next thing you knew a tie ballgame became a comfy four-run lead. Then came the BOTTOM of the fifth inning …
Here is the lineup the Mets will send to bat this afternoon against Rockies righthander Aneurys Rodriguez:
1. Jose Reyes SS
2. Josh Thole C
3. David Wright 3B
4. Carlos Beltran RF
5. Jason Bay LF
6. Daniel Murphy 1B
7. Justin Turner 2B
8. Jason Pridie CF
9. Chris Capuano P
Thole back in the #2 spot, and Beltran back in the lineup as the cleanup hitter. Interesting to see Pride hitting 8th considering how hot he has been lately. I might prefer to see him and Turner flip-flop since it seems that Turner is slightly more disciplined, and #8 hitters often get less pitches in the strike zone with the pitcher on deck. Of course, I’m nitpicking.
Feel free to comment here during the game (i.e., “in-game thread”).
If Carlos Beltran hits three homers and no one is there to see them, do they count?
Carlos Beltran strapped the Mets to his back and carried them to victory over the Colorado Rockies, blasting 3 two-run homers.
Ike Davis? David Wright? Who needs ’em?
It’s nice to once in a while be on the winning end of a one-run game.
Give the game ball to Chris Iannetta.
Well that didn’t take long … the Blue Jays have traded infielder Brad Emaus to the Colorado Rockies for minor-league pitcher Chris Malone.
