Today’s Mets Lineup vs. Cardinals

The Mets go for the sweep this afternoon against the St. Louis Cardinals in a game that begins at 12:10 PM (hope you set the DVR). Here is the lineup going against Cardinals pitcher Jake Westbrook:

Jose Reyes – SS
Justin Turner – 2B
Carlos Beltran – RF
Dan Murphy -3B
Angel Pagan – CF
Lucas Duda – 1B
Ronny Paulino – C
Jason Pridie – LF
Jonathon Niese – P

As mentioned in Jessica’s news update, Jason Bay is out with a tight hamstring, and so Pridie is filling in in left field. You’ll also notice that Ronny Paulino is back behind the plate after Josh Thole had a two-hit, two-RBI day.

Its funny i would guess Beltran will be gone this weekend, The Mets never Let us see there full lineup with all there stars. I just wish once in the last two years we got to see Reyes Whoever Beltran wright Bay. I am sure that 7.5 would be cut in half right now.

Almost Everybody has lots of injuries. Met use it as a crutch. Check the DL this year and last for the Phillies. Check it for the Braves.

I couldnt agree more, I cant stand how the mets do that. It seems so obvious that if i were the GM its a no brainer giving beltran 3 years 7-10 mil. What are the alternatives? 30 million for the next 3 years to retain our best slugger in the last 7 years and no matter where he plays next year he will be leading the mets in Hrs and RBI and will be paying david wright twice as much to put up half the numbers!
