Chris Young Out For the Year

According to Adam Rubin on ESPN-NY, Chris Young has opted for shoulder surgery to repair a tear in his shoulder capsule — effectively ending his 2011 season.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

    Dammit. I was sure he wouldn’t last a full season, but four starts? What the hell!

    Still not sure why he was allowed to pitch beyond when he started looking fatigued on a very cold day in his first start of the year.

    This sucks. It was really fun to watch him pitch. There’s no other pitcher quite like him.
