Breaking News: Mejia Sent Down

Anthony DiComo of MLB.com is reporting via Twitter that Jenrry Mejia is being sent down to become a starter. No word yet on where Mejia will be sent.

UPDATE: Matt Cerrone of MetsBlog and Adam Rubin of ESPN-NY are reporting that Mejia will be reporting to Double-A Binghamton. Bobby Parnell will be promoted from AAA Buffalo to take his spot on the roster.
