June 29: Tuesday Morning Mets Links

MetsToday – Should the Mets trade for Cliff Lee or Ted Lilly? Or none of the above? Take the poll!

OnTheBlack – Kerel Cooper reminds us that the Mets could use some bullpen help.

MetsBlog – Oliver Perez will begin his rehab assignment soon.

USA Today – It looks like Bobby Valentine might still be in the running for next Marlins manager.

New York Times – More bad news for Lenny Dykstra. Something tells me this is only going to get worse.

ESPN New York – The Mets will face Stephen Strasburg on Saturday. Should be fun to watch.

I can’t believe I am missing the Strasburg game! I will be on the road moving from Houston to St Louis where I will be greeted by the *sarcasm* best fans in baseball */sarcasm* (and promptly called pond scum, classy).

18 hr drive, but at least I will have my XM radio. Seriously though I seem to always miss the great Saturday games because of either FOX carrying the game not in my area (and thus I can’t watch anywhere) or I have unchangeable plans. Pretty lame if you ask me.

This is pretty awesome. It shows just how influential Jose Reyes is, and, strangely, how much Ike and Tejada have helped this team win. If nothing else it is a nice break down of the idea that as ‘blank’ goes, so go the Mets.
