Batting vs. Winning Percentage

From the “you know things are tough when …” department:

The Mets have three players — Jose Reyes, Chris Young, and Chris Capuano — with a batting average higher than their winning percentage. Normally, that would be good news. Unfortunately, that’s awful news, considering the team’s current winning percentage is .294.
