Here is the lineup the Mets will send to the plate against Reds guitarist / pitcher Bronson Arroyo:
Jose Reyes – SS
Willie Harris – 2B
Dan Murphy – 1B
David Wright – 3B
Angel Pagan – CF
Jason Bay – LF
Lucas Duda – RF
Ronny Paulino – C
Mike Pelfrey – P
Carlos Beltran is not in the lineup because he is most likely going to be with the San Francisco Giants shortly. Let’s see if Lucas Duda can fill his shoes and if Jason Bay can get on track already. It will be somewhat interesting to see how Mike Pelfrey pitches in this game, considering his comments earlier this week. Will he be mentally throwing in the towel?
Wright also will have more weight on his shoulders.
Nitpicker alert: Murphy has no link.
If I was Pelfrey, I would have kept my mouth shut.
Thanks on the link. The automagic linker picks up “Dan” but not “Daniel”. Meh.
We can’t put any more weight on David’s shoulders, not while that back is still healing.
If I was Pelfrey, I’d be 18-1 with a sub-2.00 ERA right now.
I guess tonight was a first good step in that direction 😉
Who is Big Nothing to run his mouth. He’s had one decent season and is a head case. Be gone
Who is he to run his mouth? Who are you to complain about his right to speak just as you do? Do you think he lied? Do you think the Mets are better without Beltran than with him? The replacement may do good someday but Pelfrey will be non tenedered and may be reunited with Carlos somewhere. So why can’t he speak his peace and help himself get off a team that has fans that love to hate their players and a front office that has no intention of winning for several years?
