Which Uncola Do You Prefer?

Yesterday, the the New York Mets replaced manager Willie Randolph with Jerry Manuel.

Today the Mets made a similar announcement; they have replaced this soft drink:

I’m sure the difference will be noticeable to all.

    The managerial search will be interesting this off season (assuming Jerry Manuel doesn’t pull a Jack McKeon). Wally Backman would be the perfect opposite of Willie. Too bad the Wilpons are image and perception obsessed.

    Jerry maybe quite placid, but Obie wont be.

    as such i’d like to amend you picture: Instead of a Sprite and a 7Up, we now move to a 7-up and a starbucks double-shot.

    So far I like what I see out of Jerry Manuel. He seems to be an excellent communicator and I liked the way he was firm with Reyes yesterday. I also like his plan to allow his starters to have a higher pitch counts and have relievers stay out there longer, rather than pitch to a few batters, day after day.

    I understand there are a lot of people who think Willie deserved more time but apparently none of them play for the New York Mets. Not one, single player seems to be overly upset about Willie being fired. I think that speaks for itself.

    I am one of those people that couldn’t wait to see Willie get the boot. I’ve been saying all along that we have the talent to win and Willie was the reason we weren’t winning. I have no doubt in my mind this team will make a huge turn around.

    Joe, you might not see the difference right now but you will soon. I know this team will prove you and the pundits wrong. We have all the talent we need. Just give Manuel a few weeks settle in as the skipper.
