Ugh, again.
I wish Jay Horwitz would have mentioned that this would be the week that the Mets’ starting pitchers would be replaced by the winners of the “Pros vs. Joes” show. I would have made plans to be out of the country.
The least they could have done was put the Joes’ real names on the back, instead of letting them wear the jerseys of their favorite players. I really thought it was Pedro and El Duque when they took their warmup pitches before the games.
What a bummer for Jose Reyes … how happy can you be about a three-homer, four-RBI game when your team loses by seven runs?
Oh, by the way … if Reyes isn’t playing, it’s another 4-hit shutout.
Wednesday’s matchup will have Joe vs. Jon Lieber. I presume Joe will be wearing a Tom Glavine jersey.
