Rate the Mets’ Free Agent Targets

We’ve seen enough “top tens”, “top 40s”, and “wishlists” … now it’s time for YOU, the Mets fan, to rate the top free agent targets.

Omar Minaya has a busy offseason, and hopes to have current Mets such as Tom Glavine, Orlando Hernandez, and Chad Bradford locked up before the annual Winter Meetings begin. In the meantime, how is he supposed to make sense of the free-agent market?

This is where you come in. Help evaluate the talent available by rating the Mets free-agent targets. Score them from one to ten, based on their skill and perceived value.

Please note that many free-agents have been left off the ballot. For example, you won’t find Aramis Ramirez, as he’s not likely to be displacing David Wright at third base. Some “stretches” are there, however, such as Roger Clemens, because, well, you never know. If you think anyone is missing, let me know and I’ll add him.

Please note that you can leave a short comment for each player … so feel free to post a line or two.

Now go rate the free agents!
