Ah, Sweet Sausage

One nice thing about Citi Field is the preponderance of concessions stands. There are places to get a hot dog, burger, Budweiser, or Coke seemingly every 25 feet. That’s great if you are interested in downing a hot dog, burger, Budweiser, or Coke, but if you’re like me you will take the time to hunt down an Italian sausage with peppers and onions. Unfortunately, like Shea Stadium, the sausage stands are few and far between … but they do exist.
An interesting addition to many of the concessions menus is the calorie count, as you can see above. Makes me feel a lot better about chowing down one of my favorite ballpark sandwiches, knowing it’s 300 calories less than a bag of peanuts (who’da thunk it?).
