MetsToday New Look
If you arrived here wondering if maybe you typed in the wrong URL, I apologize, but it is in fact the same old MetsToday you’ve grown to love.
The previous “magazine” – style layout was kind of cool (well, I thought so) but it turned out to be fairly time consuming to maintain, and it restricted me from quickly popping up simple posts. And, this is a blog, not a magazine, so it should probably look like a blog, right?
In any case, this is the way the site will look from now on … at least, until I get bored with this one. In the meantime, your comments are, as always, appreciated — negative and positive.
About the Author
Joe Janish began MetsToday in 2005 to provide the unique perspective of a high-level player and coach -- he earned NCAA D-1 All-American honors as a catcher and coached several players who went on to play pro ball. As a result his posts often include mechanical evaluations, scout-like analysis, and opinions that go beyond the numbers.

It seems everyone was due for a redesign.
It’s clean and slick. I like it.
The only compaint I have is that I can’t tell which comments I have and haven’t already read under the recent comments column. But I’m sure it’s nothing I can’t adjust to.
Sell-out….
Not sure if you received your greeting yesterday…but Happy Birthday there, buddy.
Nice and Clean. I like the new look (I liked the old one as well).
Hey Joe. I hear the “simplicity” argument loud and clear.
I’m sure we just want to hear what YOU have to say once a day, yes the old format was cool but really, who has the time. If the comment text was a little larger, it would help!
I’ll second that. If there’s any way to enlarge the comment section’s font….it’d surely save my eyes.
Otherwise, the place is lookin’ spiffy.
OK, I jacked up the font size … can everyone see better now? sorry about that!
