July 7: Mets Links, Lineups and Open Thread

MetsFansForever – Will Sommer interviews Mike Newman of the blog “Scouting the Sally.” Very interesting read, especially if you like to follow minor league prospects.

MetsBlog – Matt Cerrone reports on an upcoming article in ESPN: The Magazine that paints Omar Minaya as sort of a clown who is prone to making ridiculous trade offers. Maybe he should try calling in to WFAN.

Mets Police – Shannon Shark asks if Howie Rose is the best radio broadcaster in baseball. Short of Vin Scully, I would say Howie is the best broadcaster in baseball, period. End of story.

TedQuarters – Ted Berg takes a look at Josh Thole. Interesting read…

Anthony DiComo – DiComo is reporting that Ollie Perez will be joining the Buffalo Bisons… He is now one step away from returning. Prepare yourselves accordingly.

The same sort of clown who got away with that junk box offer that landed Johan Santana? I like this clown, we must keep him.

(Btw Joe, I miss the feature on comments that allowed you to receive emails when someone commented after you…)

If you had Fred Wilpon’s money (at the time), you could have landed Santana to play on your company’s softball team.
