July 8: Thursday Morning Mets Links

The Mets are off today and there will be no afternoon links… Stay tuned for Joe Janish’s take on Francisco Rodriguez’s recent struggles and there may be a Mets poll at some point.

Here are your morning Mets links:

Daily Stache – Byran Rothstein thinks it’s time to stop worrying about Johan Santana.

Real Dirty Mets Blog – Ruben Tejada is colder than Argenis Reyes standing on a glacier with no jacket. Would you include him in a deal for Cliff Lee now?

Mets Gazette – Tom Greenhalgh looks at how the return of Carlos Beltran will impact the outfield.

Read the Apple – The shocking “truth” about how Johan Santana threw a complete game on Tuesday – he cut the cord to the bullpen phone. It’s humor, people.

Faith and Fear in Flushing – FAFIF is hosting Amazin’ All-Star Monday. Here’s the scoop:

Monday, July 12 is AMAZIN’ ALL-STAR MONDAY. Come out to Two Boots Grand Central at 7 PM. It’s in the Lower Dining Concourse of Grand Central Terminal, 42nd Street and Park Avenue, accessible via Metro-North as well as the 4, 5, 6, Times Square Shuttle and, of course, the 7 train. Where does anyone fit? Personally I think Fmart AND Lucas Duda….AND CPT Kirk are firmly in the OF picture. I feel the Mets have been treating Fmart like a chandelier limiting his ABs to preserve not just immediate health but value and fuiture longevity…..(no alex escobar re-runs). Fmart is 21 and is doing just fine at AAA. Meanwhile the Mets just DRAFTED some kid in the first rnd older than Fmart.

I also saw another blog that suggested the Ike davis love fest was all fine and good but what would Danny Murphy do?

So To the link above if the SFs would deal sanchez wouldnt you at least call?
