Joe Janish began MetsToday in 2005 to provide the unique perspective of a high-level player and coach -- he earned NCAA D-1 All-American honors as a catcher and coached several players who went on to play pro ball. As a result his posts often include mechanical evaluations, scout-like analysis, and opinions that go beyond the numbers. I have to say that Mets blogs are way more social than Yankee blogs are. Might just be me generally being an aggressive prick towards fellow fans and bloggers, might not.

Anyway, congrats to Joe for the very readable mention above and straight applause for the way he networks you into all these very interesting hits from bloggos from every corner of the sphere. As a regular reader it’s what keeps me coming back to read about my least favorite team.

      Thanks for the props, Ryan!

Happy holidays to you and best wishes for you, your family, and that other New York baseball club!
