The Dodgers swept the Mets in a three-game set in Chavez Ravine. But they didn’t blow the Mets away.
This isn’t meant to be a sugar-coating – the Mets don’t have the talent to match up with the Dodgers. But a lucky break here or there combined with a healthy David Wright or Wilmer Flores in the lineup could have resulted in a win or two.
Just when it looked like the Mets had figured out the steamroller known as the Los Angeles Dodgers, they were flattened.
A rare outing by Matt Harvey — and not in a good way. Though, if players with the last name of “Ellis” were banned from MLB, Harvey might have won the game.
Not even the mighty Mets can dodge the Los Angeles steamroller.
What’s this? Offense? Not a one-run game? And doing it with the long ball? Bizarre.
