Woops … missed this one due to the afternoon game time, and, well, with the team 15 or 16 games below .500 with ten to play, I kind of forgot. Sorry.

Next Mets Game
Mets move on to Philadelphia to play the Phillies. Game one starts at 7:05 PM on Friday night. Daisuke Matsuzaka faces Cole Hamels.
Well, The giant announcers are much more entertaining and interesting than the Met announcers. Recognizing the criticality of the game, and the need to tell everybody that every player who is young is going to be great soon, they spent a good deal of the afternoon studying people in the crowd. and making interesting comments. As for the game, it was obvious the players and moreso, the umps wanted to get the heck out of the park and go home or make the next flight to their next meaningless destination. Ah, yes, the excitement of meaningless September baseball. It was a better day for a long bike ride. Unfortunately, got to see some of the game.
Huh. Sounds exactly like my opinion of the game. Had I been off work for some strange reason, I likely would have gone for a long bike ride than wasted my time watching it. That’s sad, because I know I’m going to absolutely hate November-March when there is no baseball to watch every night, and I still don’t mind missing a Mets game here and there.
