While the Pirates pulled the rug from under the Mets and stole the coveted Jaff Decker away, they had to make a corresponding roster move: designating Garrett Jones for assignment. Might the Mets turn around and acquire Jones?

Amidst the whirlwind of excitement surrounding the possibility of Jaff Decker making a cross-country trip to Flushing (a story which unfortunately ended in Pittsburgh; perhaps he ran out of gas), we completely overlooked the acquisitions the Mets DID make.

Compared to the Brian McCann signing, this one more directly impacts the Mets.
